Bret is in charge of the LLNL nuclear (neutron, charged particles, and gamma) deterministic transport processed data files and access routines, a package called LIBNDF.A.

Tasks include:

Upgrading and testing the access routines and data as well as porting LIBNDF.A to various platforms.
Designing and developing a package called FUDGE that allows users to vary the LLNL nuclear data, pre-processed data, for use in sensitivity studies. This package’s top-level interface is Python. FUDGE allows users to create deterministic and Monte-Carlo processed data files from the pre-processed modified data; allowing the user to test the sensitivity of his/her simulation to variation in nuclear data.
Designing and developing a graphical viewer of the LLNL nuclear pre-processed and processed data. Mondavi will allow users to apply a flux-weighted collapse, just like their codes, of the processed data before viewing.
Performing an experiment at the LLNL SuperEBIT facility to excite the 216.7keV nuclear state of 189Os to study inverse internal conversion. Inverse internal conversion is of interest because it explores the atomic/nuclear interface, has been sparsely studied and may have energy applications.
